Google Offers The Motorola China Manufacture

Motorola Mobility, which is part of Google, has approved the sale of its manufacturing plant in China. The factory was sold to Flextronics.

Reported by Cnet on Wednesday (12/12/2012), through an agreement between the two companies, workers as well as the existing assets will be transferred to Flextronics as the deal has been completed, in the first half of 2013. Flextronics is a manufacturing service provider based in Singapore.

The agreement allows Motorola to move more efficiently under Google. Motorola has been working to reduce the amount of a product release and only focus on a few core device. The product line includes the Razr.

“A deal with Flextronics is an important step forward for us in an attempt to change the entire supply chain into a competitive advantage for Motorola Mobility,” said Senior Vice President of Motorola Mobility, Mark Randall.
