The latest information about the wiretapping conducted by the Australian intelligence against President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Indonesia’s other officials. The leaked secret document shows clearly the list of high officials that Indonesia becomes the target of wiretapping. Even their cell phone types were mentioned in detail.
Documents leaked from the Ministry of Defence of Australia and also the Defence Signals Directorate, the tangible presentation slides and the labelled ‘top secret‘. The Australian, abc.net.au, Wednesday (11/18/2013), releasing confidential documents leaked.
On one of the slides, writing the title ‘Indonesian President Voice Intercept‘ and dated August 2009, thus summed up the efforts done tapping 4 years ago. Slide the other titled ‘IA Leadership Targets + Handsets‘ and contains a list of the names of high officials targeted Indonesia, complete with mobile phone type (HP) used at that time.
The first name is President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono called using mobile phone brand Nokia E90-1. Underneath there is the name of the First Lady, Ani Yudhoyono were written with the surname Kristiani Herawati, which uses the same type of a cell phone with SBY.
Under both existing names Vice President Boediono and former Vice President Jusuf Kalla (JK). Boediono are using the Blackberry Bold 9000, while JK using Samsung SGH-Z370.
The other officials who also became targets, Dino Patti Djalal, among others, in what was then still the President’s spokesman on Foreign Affairs, Andi Malarangeng, which then became the spokesperson for the President, Hatta Rajasa, who at that time was Minister Secretary of State. Sri Mulyani Indrawati, who as was then Finance Minister, Widodo Adi Sucipto the then Coordinating Minister for Politics and Djalil who was then the Minister of SOEs.
Further, the documents also mention tapping committed against recording telephone calls or Call Data Records (CDR) President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and officials. The CDR records the phone numbers call and contact phone of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, then also the duration of the call as well as classifying whether the call goes to voice mail or a text message.
Described in more detail in one slide, titled ‘Indonesian President Voice Intercept‘, there was a call from an unknown number of Thailand to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. But the call did not last long and in 2000 decided not to intercept the content of conversations.
