After Sipadan and Ligitan separated from the Republic of Indonesia, now Semakau island in Batam, Riau islands, to be taken by Singapore. In fact, the outer islands that have been entered into the map of Singapore.
Semakau island that are in the Village Kasu, District Belakangpadang, Batam, only have nine head of the family. To reach out to the small island, takes approximately 30 minutes using pompong, small boat from the port Sekupang, Batam.
The island is located at 1.06.06.01 north latitude and 103 49.27.41 east longitude. But suddenly the island parallel to Nipah Island, but rather extends to the Singapore Sea, it is now incorporated into the map of Singapore.
In response, the Governor of Riau islands, HM Sani, will be sent a letter to the Foreign Minister, Marty Natalegawa. Sani will also follow up on the annexation of the island to Singapore Consulate.
