UMP IDR 2,2 Million, JOKOWI: Feel Free To Take It To The Court

The Governor of Jakarta, Joko Widodo invited if there are parties who objected to the establishment of the province’s minimum wage (UMP) of Jakarta 2013 amounting to IDR 2,2 million to the State administrative court (PTUN).

The Government of Jakarta will not hinder the parties who want it, because everyone has the right to do so.

“Just what [if any party that wants to bring the ruling of the Jakarta province’s minimum wage to the court]. How? Everyone had the right to do that,”said Jokowi answer questions of reporters at Halim Perdanakusuma airport on Friday (23/11/2012).

Earlier, the Minister of industry MS Hidayat said it received a letter claiming the existence of a desire Indonesia Employers Association (Apindo) to travel the path of the law by bringing the minimum wage verdict to the court.

The Minister of industry said the reason Apindo’s verdict troubles raising the minimum wage by local governments, because it felt the aspiration that they bring when adjusting is not appropriate in the hope that in its application in the decision of raising of the wage.
