Viktor Yanukovych Gave A Statement

Deposed Ukraine president who is now a fugitive, Viktor Yanukovych, is reportedly to provide a statement from the city of Rostov-on-Don.

This was stated by a source close to Ukraine’s former President to the RIA Novosti news agency on Monday (10/03/2014).

Rostov-on-Don is a port city in the southern Russian region bordering Ukraine.

If the news is true, then this will be the second appearance of Yanukovych publicly in the city, since he left Ukraine after being ousted in the last month.

Earlier, Yanukovych said that he was forced to abandon Ukraine as it gets threats. Yanukovych insisted that he is the legitimate Ukraine President.

On 28 February, Yanukovych also never gives press conference in Rostov-on-Don. At that time, the time and location of the news conference was very secret until a few hours before the show starts.

In the news conference, Yanukovych told reporters that he did not favor military intervention of any kind to the Ukraine.

He added, at a time like this, there should be no areas of Ukraine who tried to escape.
