Liverpool have reportedly joined Arsenal in the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, adding another major Premier League club to the growing list of admirers tracking the France international.

Barcola’s future has become a topic of increasing speculation following another impressive campaign with PSG, where he played a key role in the club’s domestic and European success during the 2025-26 season.

The 23-year-old winger was one of PSG’s most reliable attacking options as the French champions secured both the Ligue 1 title and the UEFA Champions League crown. Across all competitions, Barcola made 49 appearances and contributed 13 goals while continuing to establish himself as one of the most promising attacking players in European football.

Interest from Arsenal has been widely reported in recent weeks, with manager Mikel Arteta believed to be a long-term admirer of the former Lyon winger. Several reports have suggested the North London club explored the possibility of bringing Barcola to the Premier League as part of its efforts to strengthen its attacking options ahead of the new season.

However, Arsenal may now face significant competition from Liverpool.

According to reports cited by Metro, Liverpool are closely monitoring Barcola’s situation and view him as a potential long-term addition to their attacking unit.

The interest comes amid uncertainty surrounding Mohamed Salah’s future. Reports have indicated that the Egyptian forward could leave Anfield during the 2026 summer transfer window after deciding to bring his contract to an early conclusion.

Liverpool’s recruitment department is therefore believed to be evaluating several high-profile attacking targets, with Barcola emerging as one of the most attractive candidates due to his age, versatility and experience at the highest level of European football.

The French winger is reportedly intrigued by the possibility of playing in the Premier League and is said to be interested in Liverpool’s long-term sporting project. Such factors could prove influential if PSG becomes willing to consider offers during the transfer window.

Despite the growing speculation, PSG appears determined to prepare for every possible scenario.

Reports in France suggest the Champions League winners have already begun assessing potential replacements should Barcola eventually depart. Among the players linked with the club is RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, who has also attracted interest from Liverpool.

PSG has additionally been connected with Bournemouth prospect Eli Junior Kroupi and West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen attacking depth.

Former France defender William Gallas believes Barcola possesses all the attributes needed to succeed in English football and would be capable of making an immediate impact at either Arsenal or Liverpool.

“With his qualities, I think he could go to Liverpool, Arsenal or another Premier League club. That would not be a problem,” Gallas said.

“But he needs to find the right club that suits his style of play and gives him the opportunity to show his quality.”

Gallas noted that tactical considerations could ultimately influence any decision regarding the winger’s next destination.

“We already know Arsenal’s style of play, but Liverpool could be different under a new manager. However, Bradley Barcola would make a big impact at either club,” he added.

Barcola remains under contract with PSG, and there has been no indication from the French champions that they are actively seeking to sell one of their most valuable young players.

Nevertheless, as the summer transfer window approaches and Premier League clubs continue to reshape their squads, the France international is expected to remain one of the most closely watched names on the European transfer market.

His performances for both club and country have significantly enhanced his reputation, and any movement involving Barcola would likely become one of the major transfer stories of the summer.
